On the one hand I really like this place for reformer Pilates. I’ve been attending on and off for around 8 years. I’d have been more regular but there was a period where it was impossible to get a place on certain classes. They seemed to get booked out as soon as the date was released. Great location and great reformer studio at a reasonable price compared to those in my local area. The cafe is also decent. On the other hand the admin aspect leaves a lot to be desired. The clunky online booking system sends you all over the place. It’s worse since the Central YMCA closed and changes made to the KX system. Forget trying to call or email as you will never get a response. Some of the staff on reception seem to have a ‘Computer Says No’ attitude and don’t know how to manage expectations/don’t follow through on their claims. It all leaves a very bad taste in your mouth like they are waiting to scam you. Well, if working on reception gives you a bit of a power trip, good luck to you. May what you give out come back to you in truck loads.

The reason I found YMCA at One KX is that I was looking to do a pilates instructor course and was in the process of finding the right one. Just as I was about to sign up for the course from another academy I got a call from Rafaela, who works in YMCA. She was so friendly, sooo helpful and so knowledgeable. She shared so much useful information, provided me with all details on the course and was always very easy to reach. That call that she gave me just at the right time has been life changing to me. I’m forever grateful to Rafaela!!!

Went to the cafe here. Great selection of vegan Indian food, excellent options for lunch. Good value. Lovely staff. I believe they have a lift but I found the access was up a flight of stairs

Great place to have classes and meetings. Conveniently located next to King's Cross with many nice eateries nearby, it also was part of Bloomsbury Festival in 2019. The toilets are clean and staff friendly and courteous. The Thenga cafe serves vegan food, but only during the weekdays. However for a vegan thali and considering it is linked with the YMCA, the prices are extremely steep. Food is tasty but to pay £7 for rice and lentils with a slice (only a thin slice) of aubergine, is quite excessive. WiFi usually works and hence great for meetings and combining work with social networking and classes.

Very good Pilates equipment and excellent teacher. Very expensive based on the facilities they have. The changing rooms can barely be Called that. No lockers available, no towels or shower gels, no soap in handbasins, even for toilet users. Showers are grotty and Mouldy. In general, a “dirty” feeling overall. This is not a gym-like experience. Gentleman on reception desk needs customer service awareness.
